Message At least with speeding tickets and such, it's always better to plead no contest and follow the courts orders - than to plead guilty, pay the money, and assess full points. Depending on how much or how cheap you can find a lawyer, thats definatly your best alternative.

Imagine how high the insurance will be for you, 6 points plus a suspension? You will probably pay more money in increased insurance payments (for 6 years until you turn 25) than you will by paying a lawyer. Say (overexagerated estimate), you're insurance goes up from 1,600 to 3,000 every year - thats 1,400 more for 6 years - thats 8,4000 dollars; dont you think you can find a laywer for cheaper than that?

Do the math and see what you can afford; never give up though and remember that it will be very hard for the cop to prove anything - it's basically his word over yours and thats not beyond reasonable doubt.

GOod Luck.
